Why do many Ukrainians live off deception and violence against other Ukrainians?

According to the results of my surveys, more than 60% of Ukrainians are ready to profit from the theft and oppression of their compatriots (!)
When friends from other countries, such as the United States, Germany, Australia, come across Ukrainian realities and get to know first-hand how our state system works, as well as current and former civil servants, they are bitterly disappointed in our people and our country. And their desire to help us disappears very quickly.
A friend of mine told me a long time ago, back in Soviet times:
-
- “I think I’m going to become a policeman.
- Why?
- You can press people and make a decent living out of it.
Another former friend, a cop, told me after the Maidan: “We’ve been squeezing you and will continue to do so.”
And a Soviet military commissar, back when we were rowing to Afghanistan, said: “You will go and die for the Soviet homeland!”
At that time there was an upper class and a lower class of the Soviet population. Danylo Yanevsky made a very apt point that the elite in Soviet times were in the party and the KGB.
The Soviet system of government was based on incredible violence and fear. The male population did compulsory service in the army, which, with few exceptions, was a school of slavery and violence. There were times when the population was simply in a state of survival for several generations, oppressed by the Soviet elites. Only the elite had an ephemeral future. In order to survive, people rushed into power and ideological structures. Or they cooperated with them to fight their opponents. Slaves crushed slaves. The state was a cruel exploiter and a natural enemy of its people. Although from the inside, it seemed normal: people did not see any other way of life.
Ukraine has changed a lot since its formal independence. But the genetic code of survival still dominates. Ukraine is not yet free. It is still Soviet. There are upper and lower classes. There is a conventional elite and a conventional cattle. And it seems that the population of Ukraine accepts this state of affairs as natural. I repeat once again: the population of Ukraine still accepts this state of affairs as natural!
Try to do an experiment and you will see that those who live off the oppression and robbery of their compatriots (and simply by robbery) often come from those prehistoric Soviet elites. But there are also simply clever people who, through the state apparatus, easily exploit the still living gene of slavery that still dominates Ukraine.
The gene of Soviet (and earlier, imperial) slavery still dominates the genotype, or the historical consciousness of Ukrainians. People agree with this (!!!). That’s why they peacefully accept the exploitation of themselves and naturally consider it just as natural to exploit their neighbours. I’m not talking about business, but about state phenomena.
Shortly after the Maidan, a very senior civil servant from another country told me: “Ukraine will become a new country in no less than fifty years!” I enthusiastically countered that in a couple of years we will already have a dream society! I apologise for the offence and recognise the wisdom of that man.
Let’s recognise our slavery gene and consciously get rid of it. At every moment of our lives!
