Psychological age of the nation and national sovereignty

Imagine a teenager aged 12-14. What is his vision of the world? What are their aspirations? Is a teenager of this age able to take care of his or her own life and development on their own?
In conversations with many very intelligent people, as well as in books, I have often come across an estimate of the psychological age of a nation, people, and population of a Soviet country. This age ranges from 12 to 14 years. By the way, the behavioural patterns and innate instincts of a cat, according to my observations, resemble a child aged 5-6 years.
So. 12-14 years old. Some psychologists believe that after the Maidan, our people began to grow up. Around 16-17 years old[1]. But let’s go back to the beginning. A teenager. Is he able to cope with his life effectively on his own? Well, 50-50, perhaps. But most likely, he will fall under the influence of a more experienced, psychologically mature person. Because the monkeying around with authority figures is part of our development programme.
It is obvious how we choose leaders. It is also obvious how we approach the organisation of our social life. Nobody cares. Why then are we surprised that intelligent people are engaged in the organisation of our public life, which we have demonstrably ignored?
In a recent interview, Alakha Niranjan stated that Ukraine is losing its sovereignty[2], even though it is winning the war. In what sense is it losing sovereignty? In the sense of the ruling elites. Now the elites will not be ours. But is it bad? If they were Muscovites, it would be bad for sure. Because it was against Moscow’s rule that we rose up on the Maidan and went to war in 2022. And now we have few alternatives. American and British influence. Not the European one, which is almost obvious. Is this good for the Ukrainian people? At the moment, my opinion is yes. It is good. Until our own elites have grown up, it is better to have someone smart from the outside, against the background of a powerful people who will not allow (I pray) to spit in their porridge. As our wise grandfathers used to say: it is better to lose with a smart man than to find with a stupid one.
So what should we do?
We have to grow up. Namely, to take responsibility for the organisation and functioning of society. To stop being infantile and relying on the “President”, “Tsar”, or anyone else. Take a piece of social work into your own hands here and now. Anything that inspires you: cleaning up the yard, planting a tree, putting a lock on the entrance door, organising a car park near your house, and just smiling at your neighbours and knowing them by name. Meet up, drink coffee together, play football, or just have a neighbourly chat. To understand who is who, who breathes what, who is inspired by what. To know who is the best when it comes time to delegate a judge or a leader upstairs to be responsible for the community.
Friends! We have the recipes! We have the experience. Including positive ones. We can learn and grow upwards, for joint action! And the goal of joint action is very well defined in the concept of the Republic, and it is, in fact, a great success and blessing that someone took up this work and brought it to our attention. There may be variants, there may be different embodiments, but the common goal seems to be very correct. At least for you, if you are reading this ☺
The childish worldview of the Ukrainian nation will not go away. Naturally, Ukrainians have a fresh outlook on life, a desire for creativity in all areas, and practice mutual assistance. We have everything to succeed!
